On Saturday’s breeze beneath skies so wide,
The last strokes echoed with rhythm and pride.
From Bridge 8’s banks, strong hearts took flight,
Toward Fountainbridge in afternoon light.
Each ripple a tale, each mile a song,
We paddled united, determined and strong.
The Port Edgar Dragons, bold and brave,
Rode waters of memory, wave by wave.
“Pauline’s Challenge” — our guiding flame,
A journey of spirit, more than a name.
And as Lochrin Basin came into view,
A sound rose golden, bold and true.
The Aye Notes marched, their music grand,
Drums of joy, brass in hand.
They played us in with fire and grace,
A finish line, a sacred place.
So raise your paddle, let voices swell,
Of courage and love, we’ve stories to tell.
A final day, a heartfelt song,
Together we paddle, where we all belong.
